Limescale, a costly enemy
Hard water contains dissolved calcium and magnesium. As water is heated or moves through pipes, these minerals precipitate and form limescale — a hard deposit that clogs pipes, reduces flow, lowers the efficiency of boilers and water heaters, and shortens the lifespan of appliances.
The protective shield principle
Anti-scale crystals (food-grade polyphosphate) slowly dissolve in water and release a tiny, controlled dose of active agent. This agent surrounds calcium and magnesium ions and keeps them in suspension, preventing them from crystallising and sticking to surfaces. The result is a thin protective layer inside pipes and equipment.
- Prevents scale build-up on pipes and heating elements
- Protects against corrosion
- Extends equipment lifespan
- Reduces maintenance and energy costs
Where it is used
Anti-scale protection is ideal for domestic and semi-industrial applications: washing machines, dishwashers, boilers, water heaters, coffee machines and heating circuits. It is available as a refillable cartridge, a dedicated compact filter housing, or as a media dosed inside a container cartridge.
Made in Italy, certified for drinking water
Our anti-scale media is produced in-house in Italy (Akia / Polifil production units) from food-grade materials suitable for contact with drinking water. Discover our anti-scale range or contact our team for a recommendation.
