Two media, one goal
Both polyphosphate and silico-polyphosphate protect installations against scale and corrosion by slowly releasing crystals into the water. The difference lies in their composition and action.
Polyphosphate
White or green crystals, highly soluble, primarily anti-scale. Ideal to protect boilers, water heaters and household appliances against limescale deposits. Anti-encrusting effectiveness up to 100°C.
Silico-polyphosphate
Blue crystals combining polyphosphate and silicate. It provides dual protection: anti-scale plus enhanced anti-corrosion, forming a protective layer inside the pipes. Recommended where metal corrosion is a concern (mixed networks, aggressive water).
How to choose?
- Anti-scale priority (appliances, hot water) → polyphosphate
- Pipe protection + anti-corrosion → silico-polyphosphate
Both media are produced in-house in Italy from drinking-water-approved materials, available in bulk, dosed bags or pre-filled cartridges. See our range or ask for advice.
